IDOLS IN ARCHITECTURE

Inspiration, Tail Waggin Good Post by

Zaha Hadid

"I don't think that architecture is only about shelter, is only about a very simple enclosure. It should be able to excite you, to calm you, to make you think."

As a team, architecture inspires us. Great buildings tell stories -- about their uses and about how their inhabitants chose to interact with the outside world. These buildings make you want to come back and take in the excitement of walking in, sitting in a quite space, or simply watching the way light molds the building.

Zaha Hadid constantly awed us. Partly because she rose in a male-dominated world and had a unique, strong voice. But mainly because she had raw talent and was willing to break the rules to make her buildings come to life. She will be missed. Zaha Hadid passed too young. Here's some of her awesomeness.
